Zach Griffin began his career in NYC working as a production assistant on FX’s The Americans. At wrap, he would often deliver film to the production office, where he had a chance to glimpse into the edit booths and watch editors work. Zach transitioned to post as a night assistant at A+E Networks, ingesting tapes for their promo department. After a year working nights, he asked to be moved onto long form projects. He used this time to learn from the experienced assistants. When his contract ended, he took an assistant editor position on ITV’s The First 48. Zach capitalized on every opportunity to cut scenes, and spent the pandemic building up a body of work. He was promoted to editor on the show and stepped away after relocating to LA to pursue a career in scripted editing. He has cut 18 shorts and recently picturelocked his second feature film.
